REASI, Mar 14: Police seized around 100 gms charas from a car/taxi while the accused driver managed to flee when the vehicle was intercepted near Forest Check-Post on Reasi-Pouni road, late last night.
The Maruti Swift car, bearing registration number JK20- 4333 , was hired by three pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh, who were travelling in it when Police team from PP Talwara intercepted the vehicle during naka checking around 23:45 hours.
On seeing police team, driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot. On search of the car, approximately 100 gms of charas was recovered from the Dash board box of the vehicle. Documents revealed that the car belongs to Abdul Rehman alias Kainthi, son of Mohd Shafi of Ransoo.
In this connection a case FIR number 50/2019, under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
