JAMMU, Mar 15: Channi Himmat Residents Association today appealed the concerned authorities to immediately repair all roads of Channi Himmat, which are in dilapidated condition.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the association held under the chairmanship of its president, Advocate VK Grover. The meeting expressed grave concern over poor and dilapidated condition of most of the roads in the colony particularly the road of Sector 3 adjoining central nallah and culminating in Railway Barrier.
“Many such roads are facing wrath of the inhabitants who are exposed to risk of grievous injuries which can be caused by fatal accidents in this condition”, he said, adding, for several years in the past, roads in the colony have been left neglected and no steps have been taken to repair them.
The meeting appealed the local MLA and speaker of State Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta to issue appropriate instructions to concerned authorities for immediate repair of roads of the area so that sufferings of the residents are mitigated.
