CEO SMVDSB felicitates Madhav for securing 1st position in University

JAMMU, Nov 19: Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Simrandeep Singh congratulated Madhav Sharma, a student of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Charan Paduka, Katra on his remarkable achievement and felicitated him here today.
Madhav Sharma has secured first position in the entire university by securing highest marks in the annual examination of class 8th conducted by the Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi in the month of May this year.
On his outstanding achievement, Madhav Sharma was awarded Vakratund Shukal Swaran Padak (Gold Medal) by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, who is also Chancellor of the Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, at its convocation held at Varanasi earlier this month.
CEO SMVDSB Simrandeep Singh said that the excellent coaching and provision of other facilities provided by the Shrine Board and the hard work being put in by the students has resulted in spectacular performance by the students of the Gurukul in academics and co-curricular activities year after year.
Dr Arvind Karwani, Deputy CEO SMVDSB and Administrator of the Gurukul and Dr Devendra Rijal, Vice Principal were present on the occasion.
Presently, 162 students are studying from class 6th to Shastri Part-II at this fully residential Gurukul which was established by the Shrine Board in 2010. The Shrine Board provides education, boarding, lodging, uniforms, books etc, free of cost to the students. The Shrine Board has also made elaborate arrangements for indoor and outdoor games at the Gurukul for all round personality development of the students.
