CEC reviews pace of work on tourism infrastructure projects

KARGIL, May 23: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan today chaired a joint meeting of the officers of Union Ministry of Tourism and National Building Construction Company (NBCC) at Council Secretariat here today.
During the meeting, the CEC reviewed the pace of work on tourism infrastructural development projects for the district approved by the Union Government last year.
The status of ongoing construction of Tourist Reception Center (TRC), Log Huts at Kargil, TRC and Cafeteria at Minamarg, Cafeterias at Sankoo, Panikhar and Shapath came up for discussion during the meeting.
The CEC while underlining the importance of these projects in the provision of improved facilities to the tourists visiting the district impressed upon the officers to complete them in the stipulated time frame while taking due care of the quality of work.
On the issue of allotment of land for construction of projects at Minamarg, Shapath, Sankoo and other areas, the CEC assured that land will be allotted as per the joint identification conducted by the LAHDC, District Administration and Tourism Department Kargil last year.
Besides other officers Assistant Director Tourism Kargil Aga Syed Taha was also present in the meeting.
