LEH, Jan 5: The Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, today chaired a meeting to take stock of the physical and financial status of the SSA (Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan) Scheme being implemented in Leh district by LAHDC Leh and School Education Department.
The meeting was attended by Tashi Dolma, JD Education Leh, Konchok Angmo CEO, Leh, Tsering Angdus, AD Planning, Education Department Leh and all the ZEOs of Leh District.
The Chairman after taking stock of the physical and financial status of the SSA zone wise, issued specific instructions to all the ZEOs for timely expenditure of funds and achieving targeted physical achievements well within targeted period.
Besides, laying stress on the importance of education, the Chairman directed JD Education and CEO for preparation of LAHDC Education Policy, guidelines for coordination with VECs and holding in annual Ladakh Education Conference and early launching of Education Department website.
The Chairman also directed JD Education and CEO to exercise and prepare a proposal for providing transport facility to the Government School students wherever feasible.
At the end, the CEC asked all officers/officials to work tirelessly for further improvement in the quality of education in Leh district and assured them all possible assistance from LAHDC, Leh.
