CEC Kargil stresses for imbibing skills in academic competitions

KARGIL, Mar 10: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan said that education and academic competitions are two most important ingredients of a student’s life and inculcating skills to reinforce these traits in line with the present day trends is need of the hour.
The CEC stated this while addressing students from Kargil during the annual day function of All Kargil Ladakh Students Association Chandigarh at JK House Chandigarh.
Dean Students Welfare Punjab University Chandigarh Prof Emanuel Nahar, eminent educationist and former Joint Commissioner Jawahar Navodaya Vidayalaya Kaneez Fatima, President Students Council Punjab University Kannu Priya, a number of dignitaries and officers were present on the occasion.
The CEC while appreciating the efforts of All Kargil Ladakh Students Association Chandigarh urged the youth of Kargil to strive hard to meet their goals in achieving educational and professional excellence.
The association members on the occasion projected a number of demands like provision of funds for publication of annual magazine, special funds for holding of annual day every year, grant of timely scholarship and other related issues.
The CEC after patiently listening to the demands of the students assured them that all genuine issues would be resolved in a phased manner. He also assured to provide funds for publication of annual magazine.
Scintillating show featuring the multiethnic culture and heritage of Kargil Ladakh area was presented on the occasion which won thundering rounds of applause by large number of students and the association officer bearers.
Later the CEC also met authorities concerned with the operating AN 32 and IL 76 Air Services to Kargil and Leh at Air Force Station Chandigarh.
The CEC expressed his gratitude to the concerned officers of the Air Force for smooth operation of Air Services between Kargil to Srinagar and Jammu this winter.
The officers assured the CEC that additional sorties would be arranged subject to fair weather conditions.
