CCC, SCC register wins in 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Nov 20: Cant Cricket Club (CCC) and Singh Cricket Club (SCC) registered wins in their last matches of the league and entered next round of the ongoing 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club at Parade Ground here today.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma alongwith Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu Ramesh Kumar visited and inspected Parade Cricket Ground Jammu and also interacted with the cricketers participating in the 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cup.
In the first match, Cant Cricket Club (CCC) defeated Kashmir Happenings eleven by a huge margin of 99 runs. Batting first, CCC scored 160 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Babar made 44 runs, while Parshotam scored 30 runs and Sahil made 25 runs.
From bowling side, Jerry took 3 wickets, Rahul grabed 2 wickets while Asif claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Kashmir Happenings could not chase the target and managed to score only 61 runs in 15.3 overs for the loss of all wickets thus lost the match by 99 runs. Asif made 17 runs and Sunil scored 12 runs.
For CCC, Ashu took 5 wickets, while Parshotam and Dheeraj and Asif took 1 wicket each.
Ashu was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor outplayed Lakshmi Club by 49 runs.
Batting first, SCC Akhnoor scored 140 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the 18 overs. Manik chipped in 41 runs, while Hunny scored 30 runs and Chandan made 19 runs.
From bowling side, Sameer took 4 wickets, while Jugjab took 2 wickets and Bobby scalped 1 wicket.
In reply, Lakshmi Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at 91 runs for the loss of all the wickets thus lost the match by 49 runs. Jugjab made 19 runs, while Nipun scored 14 runs and Yuvraj chipped in 12 runs.
From bowling side, Happy took 4 wickets, Rajinder and Sunil claimed 2 wickets each while Sham took 1 wicket.
Happy was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Vijay.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Haryana Cricket Academy will clash with KCCC, whereas Simula Cricket Club will take on KC Sports Club.
