Caustic soda rises on fall in supply

NEW DELHI, Feb 11:  Caustic soda prices were up by Rs 100 per 50 kg in the national capital today in view of fall in supplies from producing belts amidst rising demand from consuming industries.
Caustic soda flake rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2,100-2,200 per 50 kg.
Marketmen said apart from good demand from detergent manufacturers, tight supplies from producing regions pushed up caustic soda prices at the wholesale chemical market here.

Ammonium chloride (50 kg) Rs 950-1,800, Acetic acid (1kg) Rs 53-57, Ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 500-600, Boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 3,800-4,700, Borex granular (50 kg) Rs 2,100-2,400.
Caustic soda flake (50 kg) Rs 2,100-2,200, Citric acid (50 kg) (China) Rs 3,850-4,250, Citric acid deshi (50 kg) Rs 4,150-4,650, Camphor slab (1 kg) Rs 430, Camphor powder (1kg) Rs 375, Glycerin (1 kg) Rs 100-150, Hexamine (1kg) Rs 98, Hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 30-40, menthol bold crystal (per kg) Rs 1,215, menthol flake (1 kg) Rs 1,175 and mentha oil (1kg) Rs 1,095.
