Cattle thief arrested

SAMBA, Oct 4: Police arrested a cattle thief.
As per police sources, on October 1, a complaint was lodged by Mangi Ram, son of Sita Ram of Sarna with Police Station Samba stating that his two oxen were stolen by some unknown thieves from his house during the intervening night of September 28 and 29.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 209/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Samba and hunt launched to arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Samba Police Station arrested the thief and rescued stolen oxen from his possession.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal, son of Noor Mahi, a resident of Madhera, District Samba.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Samba Inspector Yashpaul Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Tanweer Ahmed, DySP Headquarters Samba and Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
