JAMMU, Aug 4: A case has been registered against animal activist Rumpy Madaan at Pacca Danga police station.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Dr Sagar from a Maharashtra based NGO having its office at Roop Nagar with police station Pacca Danga stating that his team was sterilizing the stray dogs in Panjtirthi area, when animal activist Rumpy Madaan along with some other persons manhandled his team.
“Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) awarded contract to our NGO for sterilizing the stray dogs through tender process and when we perform our duties in any area, Rumpy Madaan creates obstructions”, the complainant added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 96/17 under Sections 341, 323, 504 and 506 RPC has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
