Cardamom futures decline on profit booking

NEW DELHI, July 11: Cardamom prices dropped by Rs 30.90 to Rs 1,042.10 per kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand at spot market.
Besides, sufficient stocks on higher arrivals from the major cardamom producing regions weighed on the prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery this month declined by Rs 30.90, or 2.88 per cent, to Rs 1,042.10 per kg in a business turnover of 4 lots.
The spice for delivery in August was trading down by Rs 14.10, or 1.40 per cent, to Rs 996 per kg, with a trading volume of 30 lots.
Traders said participants offloaded positions amid sluggish demand at spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions. (PTI)
