RAJOURI, Feb 18: A car was over turned on the road near Thannamandi causing injuries to the driver, while it was being rashly driven on Bafliaz –Thammandi Road.
Reports said the Maruti Car (WagnR) No. JK12/8302 earlier hit a bike causing injuries to one Mehmood Khan at Manyal Gali. The locals gathered there and manhandled the car driver-Wasim Ahmed, hailing from Potha, Surankot. But Wasim managed to escape along with vehicle. Some boys chased him on the bike and the rashly driver WagnR over turned on the road. The driver received injuries but he was rescued by the locals. Some boys chasing him reached there and again thrashed him. But police reached there and shifted him to hospital. Sensing trouble again at local hospital, Wasim was then immediately referred to District Hospital, Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
