POONCH, Jan 22: A capacity building tour for sixteen students (8 boys and 8 girls) of Poonch district was flagged in at Palma by Maj Gen PS Bajwa, General Officer Commanding, Romeo Force.
The eight-day tour had commenced on January 14 and has visited the industrial and defence establishments in the State of Gujarat. During the course of the tour, the students visited Reliance Refinery Jamnagar, IIM, Ahmedabad, Statue of Unity, Gandhi Ashram, Laxmi Vilas Palace (Museum) Vadodara, Khijadia Bird Sanctuary and Army establishments in Ahmedabad, Gandhi Nagar and Jamnagar.
The students were also taken to places of tourist interest to showcase the rich cultural heritage of our country and witness the development taking place in other parts of the nation. During their visit, the participants had the honour to interact with Governor of Gujarat, Om Prakash Kohli and senior Army officers.
The tour has surely motivated the students to excel in life through hard work in their studies and educated them about the avenues and opportunities available to them. While having visited the premium industries like Reliance Refinery and most sought-after institute IIM-Ahmedabad, a spark has ignited in these budding youngsters to dream big and strive hard to achieve them.
