JAMMU, Apr 15: Candle light processions were taken out in Reasi and Srinagar demanding justice to the family of Rasana rape and murder victim.
A candle light vigil demanding justice for Rasana victim was taken out in Reasi, in which hundreds of youth took part. The protestors were demanding action against the perpetrators of rape.
The march started from Ram Lila park and after passing through main bazaar, culminated at bus stand Reasi.
Meanwhile, Congress also today held a candle light procession against the rising crime on women in the country at Srinagar, in which senior congress leaders and activists participated and expressed serious concern over brutalities committed under BJP rule.
Congress leaders while lashing out at the regular incidents of rape and murder, urged that the culprits whosoever he is must be hanged in order to deliver justice to victims, besides ensuring that no women or girl child is raped or victimized in the country.
Demanding justice to Rasana victim, Pradesh Congress Committee demanded exemplary punishment to culprits.
