Camp held at Deaf & Dumb School for fixing devices to handicapped

JAMMU, Mar 13: The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India, Kanpur,(ALIMCO) a CPSU under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Indian Oil Corporation Limited in collaboration with the district administration, Jammu and J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, a noted NGO dedicated to the upliftment of deaf and dumb students are providing free Assistive devices to  Divyangas (physically challenged)  in Jammu.
For the purpose, two camps are being organized at the premises of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, behind Satsang Hall Shahidi Chowk, Jammu on March 17 and March 27, 2018.
The March 17 camp is Assessment Camp where the requirement of Assistive devices for the Divyangas would be assessed by a team of experts. The Assistive devices available for fixing at the camp include motorised tricycles, Tricycles, Wheel Chair, Hearing Aid, Smart Phone, C.P. Chair, Crutches, M.R. Kit to Divyangas.
These devices will be fixed to the identified handicapped at the March 27 camp. The March 27 Assessment Camp will be held at Deaf and Dumb School run by Samaj Kalyan Kendra at 9 a.m.
All physically challenged desirous of availing this facility free of cost have been advised to bring with them  their Aadhaar cards along with a photo copy, photo copy of Disability certificate, one photograph showing disability and proof /certificate of income ( less than 15,000 per month). Ashok Sahu of ALIMCO and Roshan Bhan, Principal of Deaf & Dumb School are coordinating these camps and can be contacted.
