Calliope School celebrates World Nature Conservation Day

JAMMU, July 31: The Calliope School, Doomi celebrated World Nature Conservation Day in its school premises with great enthusiasm.
On the occasion, tiny tots of Kindergarten, attired in different masks, beautifully performed as animals while the senior students presented a skit to create environment awareness and to spread the message to grow more trees. The enthralling performance of the students left everybody spellbound.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal, Vatsalaya Swami, who was chief guest on the occasion, said the main idea behind the programme was to inculcate proper social sensitivity towards the environment.
She said such events not only encourage the students to save the nature as well as animals but also make them understand the importance of keeping the world green.
Later, she distributed prizes and certificates among the winners.
