Bus Union strike enters 2nd day

KATHUA, Jan 25: The strike of buses of Kathua route and Banihal Route in Kathua district entered  second consecutive day today in support of their demand to release the arrested bus driver  who was nabbed by Kathua Police on  January 5 in a road accident case.
On the second consecutive day today the passengers buses did not ply on the roads and there was complete Chakka Jam. The Bus Union lodged protest against the Kathua Police and raised slogans against  it for harassing an innocent bus assistant in connection with road accident when he was not driving the bus which knocked down the youth on 5th January.
The Bus Union member Rajinder Singh alleged that the Kathua Police has totally failed to investigate the matter despite the passing of 20 days and it was befooling the Bus Union.
The Bus Union took serious note of police action and announced to continue the strike and warned to block the National Highway.
