Burma national arrested with ganja

JAMMU, Sept 22: Channi Himmat police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a Burma national along with 5 kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Channi Himmat Police Station apprehended a Burma national along with 5 kilograms of ganja.
The accused has been identified as Noor-ul-Islaam alias Haddi, son of Abdul Mahtab of Burma, at present Channi Rama.
The arrested person was a notorious drug peddler and was about to sell the consignment to youth to make them drug addicts, but timely action by the police saved the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 110/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat Inspector Sajjad Mir made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
