Burglars racket busted, 3 arrested with stolen items

RAJOURI, Dec 9: Police busted a racket of burglars with the arrest of three persons and recovery of stolen items worth several lakhs.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, teams from Rajouri police station and City police post conducted raids at different locations and busted a burglars racket by arresting three persons.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Gafoor alias Gafora, son of Mohammad Maqbool of Kheora, Mohammad Altaf alias Taffi, son of Ghulam Qadir of Malik Market Rajouri and Mohammad Rafiq alias Rafiqa, son of Alif Din of Nowshera.
On their disclosure stolen items including two Alto cars bearing registration numbers JK11-3048 and JK02N-7869 worth Rs 5 lakh in cases registered under FIR Numbers 738/16 and 718/16 under Section 379 RPC, two motorcycles bearing registration numbers JK11A-9299 and JK11-3972 worth Rs 90,000 in cases registered under FIR Numbers 748/16 and 155/16 under Section 379 RPC and four mobiles phones worth Rs 20,000 in a case registered under FIR Number 755/16 under Section 379 RPC were recovered.
Beside this, two Alto cars bearing registration numbers JK02AC-6711 and JK08-3100 worth Rs 2.5 lakh and two motorcycles bearing chasis numbers 52844 and 83832 worth Rs 75,000 have been seized under Section 550 CrPC.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases also.
Police team led by SHO Rajouri Inspector Chaman Gorkha and assisted by Incharge City police post SI Mohammad Fareed busted the burglary racked and made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri Hamid Choudhary and SSP Rajouri Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
