BSP leaders visit flood-hit Raipur-Domana

Jammu, Sept 18: Bahujan Samaj party, State president Tulsi Dass langeh accompanied by Behari Lal Digra, candidate Raipur-Domana Assembly Constituency, Ramesah Chander general secretary BSP, Sham Lal Panch, Basakhi Ram and other BSP leaders visited a number of villages like Sure-chak, Rambagh, Sardare-Chak, Wazire-Chak, Nandwal & Mangu Chak and met with a large number of people of the area to assess the damage incurred due to rain fall and flood.
Most of the people complained that for the last 18 days, they are without electricity and water supply. Most of the crops of the area have been damaged due to heavy flood. Till now, flood affected peoples did not receive any help from the Central or State Govt. Some social agencies do help them by providing Rice, Atta and other food articles.
BSP leaders urged upon the PDD to ensure power supply to the affected areas. They said the concerned departments like Revenue and Agriculture are required to assess the loss incurred due to flood and provide compensation to the peoples who have lost their houses and crop.
