JAMMU, Jan 16: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Jammu launched BSNL-SBI Mobicash m-wallet service in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI) in an initiative to promote Digital India.
SBI mobicash is a prepaid wallet where consumers can transfer the funds from one wallet to another mobicash wallet. Your registered mobile number will be your unique number for fund transfer.
Through this application, the balance present in the BSNL account can be withdrawn from any of the BSNL retailers which would work like a debit card. BSNL has coordinated with SBI to provide the cash.
SBI mobicash provides financial services where customers can transfer fund from wallet to wallet, wallet to SBI, wallet to another account (IFSC or MMID).
The application will run on android and IOS platform with GPRS connectivity. Offline transactions made through USSD can be processed by dialing *511# which will provide option of balance inquiry, mini statement, fund transfer and much more.
BSNL users can use SMS facility by sending a message on 51516. Other users can SMS or call on 9418399999. Financial transactions provide cash IN and cash OUT facility, recharge and bill payments etc.
BSNL is using franchises and retailers chain for providing in wallet service to its customers in JAMMU SSA comprising Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts.
