RAJOURI, Dec 5: Androlla Bridge Action Committee (ABAC) organized victory rally to celebrate the start of construction of Androlla bridge in Kalakote Assembly segment the other day, which was widely attended by cross section of people of Androlla, Potha, Kerdnu, Godhar, Dalogra and several other villages.
While addressing the rally former Legislator and Chairman of the (ABAC), Ashok Sharma said that road communication is life line of the development, progress and prosperity of a particular area. He extended his gratitude to the people of village Androlla and its surrounding areas for their entire cooperation and participation during a year long protests and agitation initiated by the ABAC for re-construction of Androlla bridge which was washed away in 2014 floods.
Sharma expressed serious concern over the inordinate delay in construction of roads and bridges in Kalakote Assembly Constituency while referring to Chakli bridge which had to take 15 years for its completion and over a dozen other bridges, still pending mid way of completion. He said that the roads are in deplorable condition and needs immediate attention of the Government.
The Ex-MLA while expressing concern over the continuation of Section 144 CrPC PC illegally, imposed by the Government for indefinite period and urged upon the Chief Minister (Home Minister) to enquire into and withdraw the same forthwith. He warned the callous attitude of the Government towards the Kalakote constituency.
The residents of the areas celebrated the victory by reciting local folk songs, beating of drums, dancing, raising victory slogans and distributed a contributory ‘Langer’.
