JAMMU, Feb 27: A 9-year old boy today died in an accidental hanging case that occurred at his residence in Roop Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the accident happened when the boy was playing alone at his residence with some scarf, which he tied around his neck.
When the family members noticed him in unconscious condition, they rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The dead body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem
The Janipur police have taken cognizance of the matter.
