Bovines smuggling bid foiled, two arrested

UDHAMPUR, Nov 9: Chenani police today foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing four cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chenani Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02BB-9246.
During checking, police rescued four bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Charan Singh, son of Jodh Singh and Sarwan Kumar, son of Anant Ram, both residents of district Samba.
A case under FIR Number 142/17 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Chenani Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Chenani Inspector Paramjit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Chanderjit Singh, Additional SP Udhampur Feisal Qureshi and SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
