Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 5 cattle rescued

JAMMU, Feb 15: Gangyal police foiled bovines smuggling bid and rescued 5 cattle.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gangyal police station laid a naka and signaled a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK19-4059 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot. Stinking something fishy, the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle near some distance from the naka point, but the driver managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness.
During checking, police rescued 5 bovine animals from the vehicle.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gangyal police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused driver.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Aejaz Wani foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Sandeep Chowdhary.
