Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 4 arrested

JAMMU, May 6: Arnia police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing two cattle and arresting four persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Arnia Police Station laid a naka on Jabowal-Sai Road and intercepted auto bearing registration number JK02AS-7556.
During checking, police rescued 2 cattle from the vehicle and arrested four persons, who have been identified as Pawan Kumar alias Pamma, son of Karnail Chand of Village Pariah, Tehsil RS Pura, Shakeel Ahmed, son of Nek Alam of Village Darsopur, Tehsil RS Pura, Pritam Singh, son of Gurdas Singh of Village Chak Mohammad Yaar, Tehsil RS Pura and Hind Raj, son of Teja Ram of Village Chak Mohammad Year, Tehsil RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 23/18 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
