Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 31 cattle rescued; 3 arrested

DODA, Nov 3: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing thirty one cattle and arresting three persons.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Doda Police Station laid a naka Bharat area and intercepted three persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and were arrested by the police. Thirty one cattle have been rescued, which they were trying to smuggle to Kashmir.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ayaz Ahmed, son of Hussan Din of district Doda, Billal Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed of district Anantnag and Mohammad Saleem, son of Ghulam Hadir of district Doda.
A case under FIR Number 232/17 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered against them at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Rughbir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftakhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
