Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 21 cattle rescued

UDHAMPUR, Apr 7: Chenani police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 21 cattle.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chenani Police Station laid a naka near Motor Shed area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck bearing registration number JK02AF-7205.
During checking, police rescued 21 cattle from the vehicle and seized it, while the accused managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 34/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Chenani Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
Police team led by SHO Chenani Inspector Paramjeet Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Chanderjeet Singh, Additional SP Udhampur Feisal Qureshi and SSP Udhampur Rayez Mohammad Bhat.
