JAMMU, Dec 6: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing ten cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck.
During checking, police rescued ten bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Tariq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of district Anantnag.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
