Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 13 cattle rescued

JAMMU, Feb 14: Nagotra police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 13 cattle from a truck.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota police station laid a naka at TCP Nagrota and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-2533.
During checking, police rescued 13 bovine animals and seized the vehicle. However, the cattle smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 43/16 has been registered at Nagrota police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota police station Inspector Karan Chalotra foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
