BOSE employees resent Govt move of devising books by SIE

JAMMU, Dec 16:  Joint Action Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education, Jammu has resented the Government move of devising and developing curriculum, syllabi and textbooks by the State Institute of Education itself.
The move was vociferously resented by the Action Committee during general awareness programme for discussing the core issues confronting the BOSE and approach towards the organizational set up.
The gathering was attended by all the officers and officials of BOSE at the Board office premises, here today.
Pertinent to mention that these books and syllabi are otherwise prepared, printed and published by the BOSE with active involvement of teaching community of the State Education Department by virtue of the J&K State Board of School Education Act 1975.
The employees appealed the Education Minister and Secretary School Education to intervene into the matter for strengthening the BOSE by not adopting such policies, which would crush autonomous status of the board and also weaken its financial position.
The members of the Action Committee showed their full faith in the incumbent higher ups of the Government as well as BOSE.
