RAJOURI, Oct 4: Continuing his efforts to reach the last person effected due to the recent unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Rangers on the Indian side, the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Vibodh Gupta on Tuesday visited various villages adjoining the LoC in Doongi block of Rajouri district to took the stock of the arrangements which were made for the people. Addressing to a public gathering in Shahpur village, Vibodh appreciated the role of the people in this hour of emergency as they stood like a strong rock against the nefarious design of Pakistan, who is feeling alienated after the recent surgical attacks by the Army in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and it is violating the ceasefire by firing indiscriminately on borders to destabilise the peace which is prevailing on the Indian side.
While saluting these people for their valour and courage when nation needs the most, the MLC said that the entire nation is standing behind them in this time of crisis and he apprised them that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central Government has given a befitting reply to the Pakistan sponsored terrorism and it was possible only due to the strong commitment of the people living on the borders.
He assured to the people that both State and Central Governments are committed to provide all the basic facilities to the people living in border area. “Safer places and buildings have already been identified by the district administration and many steps have been put in place for the safety and security of the people”, he said and added that about 72 camps are being established for nearly 70,000 people lying near the Actual Line of Control.
Other who accompanied the MLC includes Kamal  Bakshi, Atam Gupta, Sanjay Sharma, Pashori Sharma, Gulshan Sharma and others.
