KATRA, June 12: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 30 pouches of liquor from his possession, when he was taking the contraband to holy town Katra.
A Police party, led by SHO Katra, Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, laid a special naka at Serli Katra and apprehended one person namely Joginder Kumar of Bhagtha, who was on way towards Katra along with 30 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise Liquor. Police seized the liquor pouches and arrested the accused.
In this connection, a case under Section 48-A Excise Act and 188/RPC, has been registered at Police Station Katra.
