REASI, Nov 9: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 39 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession, here today.
During patrolling at Thappa Chowk Reasi, a police team led by Inspector Jasbir Singh, SHO P/S Reasi, under the supervision of Nikhil Gogna, DySP Hqrs Reasi, intercepted the accused bootlegger and recovered 39 Poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor.
The accused, identified as Darshan Kumar of Mansoo, tehsil Reasi, was coming from Bus Stand Reasi. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered liquor pouches.
A case FIR No. 235/2017 U/S 48-(a) J&K Excise Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Reasi.
