KATHUA, Jan 11: Billawar police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 120 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police spokesman, during patrolling, a team from Billawar Police Station intercepted a car near Mareen Morh.
During checking, police recovered 120 pouches of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Surinder Singh, son of Tarse, a resident of Baggan, Billawar.
A case under FIR Number 4/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Billawar Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Billawar Inspector Amit Sangra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Shivender Singh and SSP Kathua Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
