Book released on Curriculum Development

JAMMU, Dec 13: Depart-ment of Education, University of Jammu organized a book release function of its maiden collection of papers, an edited volume on Curriculum Development in Teacher Education Innovative Practices.
Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs was the chief guest on the occasion and released the book, which has empirical researched papers and desk papers of scholars, faculty members and students across disciplines. This is an attempt to document the initiatives in Teacher Education with contextualised solutions and possibilities.
Prof Renu Nanda, Head of the Department and Deputy Coordinator UGC SAP DRS II gave an account of the contributions in the book,  which include papers of Ana Bali, Dr Rohnika Sharma, Dr S K Panda, Dr Niharika Panda, Vivek Sharma, Dr Kavita Suri, Maliha, Jyoti Sharma, Rashmi Manhas, Princy Sharma, Dr Vivek Sharma, Pallavi Sachdeva, Sheetal Sharma, Sheetal Thappa, Anuradha Rani, Rekha Rani, Rajesh Jalyal, Sudershan Kumar Pathania, Varsha Kapoor, Sita Anand, Dr Mamu Dwivedi, Kusha Sharma, Anu Salaria, Dr Jeevan Jyoti, Poonam Sharma, Asha Rani, Ashu Rajput, Divya Jyoti Oberoi, Nita Devi, Samandeep Kaur, Sushma Bala, Upasana Sharma and Meena Kumari.
Prof Mubarak Singh,  Coordinator UGC SAP DRS Level II,  gave a detailed account of the department highlighting the different initiatives taken up by the department under SAP.
Dr Sushanta Panda presented welcome address while  Dr Kajal moved the vote of thanks.
Others, who were present on the occasion, included  Prof Satnam Kour (DSW), Prof Darshana Sharma (Dean Faculty of Education), Prof Rajiv Rattan Sharma, Prof Dipankar Sen Gupta, Prof G M Bhat, Prof Bindra Thusu (UCL), Dr Kavita Suri, Prof Rakesh Vaid, Dr Malay, Fr Thomas, Dr Raza,  Aman Sharma, Dr Shabana Azmi, Prof Arti Bakshi, Sita Anand, scholars, students and especially invited Principal  Neelam, staff and students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Satwari.
