JAMMU, Feb 1: A book on the life and service of former Chief Minister and founder of J&K Awami National Conference late GM Shah was released here today.
The Book titled “Hayaat-u-Khidmaat” (Life and Service) was released by veteran political leader and former Minister GM Mir Poonchi along with Gulchain Singh Charak, president, Dogra Sadar Sabha, former Minister Dilawar Mir, Joginder Singh Raina, former Minister GD Shah and former VC Agriculture University Hashmatullah Khan.
While welcoming the guests ANC senior Vice President Muzzafar Shah said the book depicts a very significant political chapter without which the contemporary political history of J&K could remain lopsided. Shah also gave a brief insight into the chapters of this book.
Begum Khalida Shah, GM Mir Poonchi, Jagmohan Singh Raina, Advocate Bupinder Singh Salathia, Retd DC Aslam Qureshi, Prof Zahor-ud-Din and Gulchain Singh Charak also expressed their views.
Among others present were Rani Billowria MLC, Ashok Sharma MLC, Jahangir Mir MLC, Jatinder Bakshi, Retd IGP SS Wazir, Hasrat Ghada, former Mayor Narinder Singh, Retd DC Khalid Hussain, former Sessions Judge BL Saraf, Gurmukh Singh former Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, ANC general secretary Mir Mohammad Shafi, provincial president Jammu Gian Singh, vice president Jammu Province Randhir Singh, etc.
The function was organised by Jammu province of ANC.
