BOJ to buy same amount of super long JGBs in January

TOKYO, Dec 30:   The Bank of Japan said on Friday it plans to leave unchanged the amount of Japanese government bonds with more than 25 years to maturity it will buy in its initial market operation in January. The central bank said in a statement it will buy 110 billion yen ($940.25 million) of JGBs with more than 25 years to maturity, unchanged from the current amount. It will also leave unchanged, at 190 billion yen, the amount of JGBs with 10 to 25 years to maturity it will buy in the initial January operation. The BOJ currently aims to guide the 10-year JGB yield around zero percent. ($1 = 116.9900 yen)  (AGENCIES)
