JAMMU, July 10: The dead body of a 13-year old boy, who drowned yesterday in Ranbir Canal at Village Purkhoo of city outskirts, was recovered today.
The boy identified as Harsh Gupta son of Tara Chand Gupta, a resident of Purkhoo had drowned in the Ranbir Canal in Purkhoo area of the city outskirts when he got slipped in the canal last evening, a police official said.
“After hectic search, the body of the youth was located this evening in the canal at Patoli”, he said, adding after fishing out the body it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
