RAJOURI, Nov 28: The dead body of a deaf and dumb youth was found hanging from a tree near his house in Manjakote area of district Rajouri this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Naseer (32), son of Abdul Hamid, resident of village Dhareri. The police said this youth was said to be living separately in a room given to him by the family near the cattle shed. He used to do labour work to earn his livelihood. A villager noticed his body hanging from a tree with the help of a `lady Dupatta’ and informed his family members.
The villagers in large number also assembled there and then they informed police. Manjakote police party reached the spot and after examining the site it shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. The body was clad in female dress. The police registered a case and started investigation under Section 174 CrPC. The police said it appears as murder case and inquest proceedings have been launched.
