JAMMU, Dec 12: In a bid to keep pilgrims warm during extreme winter on 13 kilometers track from Ban Ganga to holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi ji, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has come up with a new idea of keeping fire pots filled with charcoal and woods all along the track.
“The fire pots would be monitored 24×7 by the Shrine Board staff, who will also ensure that no pilgrims sleeps on the track during cold as this can create complications for them,” official sources said.
This is for the first time that the Shrine Board has decided to keep charcoal filled fire pots all along the track at small distance with staff to monitor and ensure that the keep on burning round-the-clock.
“This will make the pilgrims comfortable during their 13-kilometers long journey warm and pleasant, fill with comfort,” sources said, adding the pilgrims have appreciated this unique idea of the Shrine Board.
