BLSKS stages musical play ‘Swachh Bharat’

JAMMU, Oct 25: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Ek Sath Rang Mandal today presented musical play “Swachh Bharat” at its headquarter here in Durga Bhawan, Janipur.
The play was written and directed by ML Dogra, chairman, BLSKS while the music of the play was composed by Master Raju Bajgal and sung by prominent singers of BLSKS namely Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Hem Raj, Neelam Gandotra, Rajni Gupta and others.
The play started after lighting the traditional lamp by chief guests, VK Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India and Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department, and commenced with song “Swasth Humara Bharat Hoga Ghar- Ghar Main Chhochalya Hoga”.
Vijay Malla, writer, producer and director of IPTA and Romesh Chander, event director were guest of honours.
The play gave the message of “Clean India” which means that we should be hygienically mentally and physically clean with a favourable atmosphere so that an example can be set for other countries. The play laid stress on cleanliness, healthy childhood and a society rid of illness and epidemics.
Earlier in his welcome speech, ML Dogra said that the BLSKS will continue this campaign of ‘Swachh Bharat for 5 years. He said that BLSKS would cover 100 towns of J&K State and create awareness among the people regarding cleanliness.
The artists who performed in the play were Bhoomika Chib, Deevam Jandiyal, Kuldeep Raj, Simran Thakur, Kajal Mattoo, Divya Rajput, Rakshit Sharma, Ujwal Sharma, Druv Pandit, Samarth Gupta and many others.
