JAMMU, Feb 18: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented musical play “Nashe Kola Bacho” under its Saturday Theatre series at open air theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu.
The play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra, a renowned writer and musical play director. The play begins with songs “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio”, “Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho”, “Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab Chutki ” and “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma”.
The musical play was aimed at promoting most effective measures to protect the masses especially the vulnerable population i.e. adolescents from getting exploited by the menace of drug addiction and enable them to adopt safe and rational use of drugs by way of generating awareness through effective information and communication technologies.
Besides, nukkad, skits and dances were presented to aware the masses. The music of the play was composed by Master Raju Bajgal. In addition to these, BLSKS also presented traditional cultural folk items like Bakhan, Geetru, Kudru, Baran and Karaka.
The singers, musicians, actors and students who participated in the programme were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, Renu Saproo, Dhruv Pandit, Salman Bhatti, Sunil Kumar, Sonu Gupta, Vijay Kumar, Rajni Gupta, Sunny Manhas, Shaan Khan, Shivaal, Hem Raj, Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Deevam Jandiyal, Sakshi, Himika, Komal, Rakshit Sharma, Rajveer, Arnav Chib and Ayush Bhat.
