BLSKS presents musical play

JAMMU, Feb 25: To promote  the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in  close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production, presented its 145th  Saturday Series Musical Play “Ganga Tera Pani Amrit”  on the theme of water purification, water sanitation and save water today.
The Program was inaugurated by V K Magotra, former Regional  Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India.  Master Kartar Chand, Basant Bayogi, Madan Lal Kalotra, J K Raina and Dr A C Bhagat were guests of honour.
The Musical play was written produced and directed by M L Dogra. The program commenced with songs, “Ganga Tera Pani Amrit  Pal-Pal Mela Hota Jaey”, “Ganga Par Kari De Ganga Mai” , “Jal Hi Jeevan”. Songs, dances, short play and Nukkads  were presented to aware the masses. The music was composed by Raju Bajgal and the songs sung by the artists and students of BLSKS.
The  musical play  was highly appreciated by the audience. The chief guest   lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes.
In his welcome address M L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS, said the organization has so far presented more than 140 musical plays and awareness cultural shows to promote the culture of India and awareness programs on Prevention of Aids, Water Sanitation, National Integration, Rural Development and Save the Girl Child during the year.
The artists who performed were Raju Bajgal, K K Joshi, M C Kotwal, Hem Raj, Usha Handoo, Kuldeep Raj, Sonu Gupta, Sant Das, Sahil Kumar,  Rajni Gupta, Hem Raj, Sunil Kumar, Deevam Jandiyal, Maitri Salaria, Sakshi, Himika, Shan Khan,  Rakshit Sharma,  Dhruv Pandit, Darsh, Renu Saproo,  Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Ayush Bhat and others.
