BLSKS presents mega cultural programe for Amarnath pilgrims

JAMMU, July 12: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today presented a mega cultural programme for Amarnath pilgrims at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar.
Regional Outreach Bureau, Government of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir Government also coordinated.
The programme was inaugurated by Rakesh Koul, Officer Incharge Tourism Department while senior staff of Regional Outreach Bureau and staff of Yatri Bhawan were present on the occasion.
Main attraction of the programme were renowned singers of the State—Zulekha Farid, Kamli Devi, Rajni Gupta and Kuldeep Raj.
Awareness items on the themes ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’ and ‘Swatch Bharat’ were also presented.
Earlier in his address M.L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS welcomed Amarnath Yatries at Jammu and told them the story of Amar Katha wherein the holy cave was chosen by Lord Shiva for narrating the secrets of immortality and creation of universe to Goddess Parvati.
Welcoming the dignitaries Usha Handoo, Treasure BLSKS explained aims and objectives of the programme which have been assigned to the Sansthan for betterment of society.
The singers, musician and actors who performed were Raju Bajgal, M.C Kotwal, Sumeeta Bhat, Bindia Arora, Guina, Chahat Chadha, Rajinder Saini, Master Deepak Kumar and K.K Joshi.
