JAMMU, Mar 18: A blood donation camp “Mahadaan – 2”, was organized at Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, in collaboration with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, Department of Blood transfusion (GMC), Jammu, ‘Rotary Club Jammu Aastha’ and ‘Rotaract Club Sankalp Jammu’, here today.
During the camp, more than 100 units of blood was donated by the faculty members and students of MBSCET Jammu.
Prof S K Badyal, former Principal (MBSCET) was the chief guest for the camp. He appreciated efforts of the college management for conducting the camp and educating students about Thalassemia and benefits of blood donation to society as noble cause and charity.
Prof Parveen Singh (Dean Academics), H S Gill, (Administrative Officer) were instrumental in motivating the students of college. They assured the organizers for arranging such camps annually in future.
Er Sudhir Sethi, presdent (JKTWS), Rajinder Pathak, general secretary (JKTWS), Dr K.K. Koul, HOD Pathology (GMC, Jammu) and V M Goyal, Sumil Goyal, Er Neha Gupta HOD, E&CE (MBSCET) from ‘Rotary Club Jammu Aastha’ attended the camp.
