Blood donation camp held at MIET

JAMMU, Feb 23: The NSS unit of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) organized a blood donation camp for Thalassemic children in association with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society and J&K Young Thalassemia Alliance.
Over 100 candidates donated blood making it a huge successful drive and a major contribution to the society at large.
Appreciating the gesture of the donors, Dr Ankur Gupta, Director, MIET and Professor SK Sharma, Director Academics, complemented them for their initiative and potentially saving many lives.
The event was organized under the leadership of Sahib Singh, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering and convener of the NSS Committee at MIET. Student coordinators for the event were Shivam Vaid, Aayushi Mahajan, Lakshaya Jandial, Manish Gupta, Parul Gupta and Mridula Virdi.
Dr KK Koul, Professor & Head, PG department of Pathology, GMC Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Digra, Associate Professor of Pediatrics Department, GMC and from GMC Blood Bank, Dr Rubina Kausar and other paramedical were also present.
