JAMMU, Apr 15: With the aim to further promote Dogra Culture, Bhartiya Kala Sangam (BKS) today held music concert at K L Saigal Hall here which was witnessed and applauded by a audience. On this occasion, BJP leader Gulshan Mahajan was the chief guest.
Besides T R Sharma, KAS (Retd), Romesh Singh Chib, Chairman and Director respectively of Bhartiya Kala Sangam were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, while welcoming the audience, T R Sharma, Chairman, gave a brief account of various activities carried out by Bhartiya Kala Sangam, which started its journey in the year 1980. He said that Bhartiya Kala Sangam has been providing platform to new budding artists, especially belonging to far flung areas and many more artists have been groomed to independently perform at various functions and entertain public.
Besides Baldev Singh Balouria, District President Bhartiya Janata Party, Leela Jamwal, Advisor BKS, Mrs Neelam Saini, Incharge SHO Canal Road, Jitender Singh (Lucky) Vice Chairman Cantonment Board, Jammu, M L Dogra Chairman Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sanstha Jammu, Mohan Singh Jamwal (Akhnoor), and Shauinder Kumar were guests of honour.
The artists who performed were Surinder Manhas, Mareena Jamwal, Chaman Mattoo, Chandan Sinth and Shauinder Kumar.
The event was ably conducted by Rajni Anubhav, renowned anchor of Radio and TV and Vote of thanks presented by Romesh Singh Chib, Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.).
