KATHUA, Dec 9: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal today said that BJP is working against the interests of poor and youth from Jammu region.
Addressing one day convention of Congress party of Kandi area of Billawar at Bhanu Chak today, Dr Manohar strongly criticized the BJP for its anti-Jammu and anti-poor stance and alleged that this party is working against the interests of Jammu youth.
During the convention the representatives raised various issues pertaining to their areas. The representatives mainly raised the issues pertaining to water scarcity, shortage of ration at Government depots, absence of electricity, pending cases of Social Welfare Department, Health facilities and damages caused due to recent rains.
The former minister further said that escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that the State coalition as well as the Union Government had turned Nelsons’ eye towards public. Now the people, who voted for BJP and its associates are feeling depressed.
Dr Sharma said that BJP is working totally against the interest of poor, farmers, unemployed youth and working class in country and only talking much, but its polices and all decisions taken during three years tenure shows the real face of BJP whether it may be the funding or allocation of funds for social sector.
DCC president and former MLC Subash Gupta lamented BJP over its negligent approach towards the poor and common men of the country while taking important decisions like demonization, GST and with draw of subsidy on levy sugar, ration LPG and kerosene oil without keeping in view the condition of people living below poverty line.
He accused BJP for its failure to provide jobs to lakhs of educated unemployed youth who are eagerly waiting even more than three and half years of Modi’s Govt formation.
Gupta giving reference of upcoming Panchayat elections asked the party activists to remain prepared as that would be the time to let the BJP know his real face.
