NEW DELHI, Apr 19: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only viable option for Delhi and its people who have been at the receiving end of falsehood, deceit and misgovernance for the last several years.
Continuing his election campaign for the Municipal election poll scheduled to be held on 23rd of this month, Dr Jitendra Singh said, even though the Municipal Corporations of Delhi were headed by BJP, the lack of cooperation and tendency of sabotage by Delhi State Government did not enable it to perform to its maximum. He, therefore, appealed for an overwhelming mandate for BJP in Municipal Corporation which, he said, would be in a natural course followed by the mandate in the Delhi Assembly so that the BJP headed Municipal Corporation of Delhi, BJP headed Delhi State Government and BJP headed Central Government could function in unison for the benefit of the people of the union capital.
With more and more number of people from all sections of society joining the BJP fold, Dr Jitendra Singh said, BJP has emerged as the party which is capable of giving fair deal to each of the citizens without any discrimination whatsoever. The manner in which people from all walks of life look up to BJP with expectation, he said, the party has emerged as the biggest hope for the downtrodden and poor sections of society. BJP leadership at grass-root level is determined to carry forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “pro-poor” schemes like Jan-Dhan Yojana and Fasal Bima Yojana to the last man in the remotest corner, he added.
As the day of polling draws nearer, Dr Jitendra Singh said, all the other political parties, including Congress and AAP has seen in the writing of the wall and statements issued by them are a confession of an impending defeat. He said, while the Congress party is publicly bemoaning the exodus of its Delhi leaders to join the BJP, the AAP is making a laughing stock of itself by asking for postponement of elections by finding faults in EVM machines.
Appealing to the booth workers whom the BJP National President Amit Shah has given the name of “Panch Parmeshwar”, Dr Jitendra Singh appealed for ensuring a cent-percent voting on 23rd April so that BJP’s victory margin of Delhi election could match that of its recent victory in Uttar Pradesh.
